Volunteers

Our rodeo is a non-profit organization, which means we need a whole lot of help to put this event on. The more help we can get the easier it will be for everyone! We need volunteers for parking cars, selling tickets, watching gates, kitchen help, selling merchandise, crowd control, kids games, and more. We have our volunteer sign up meeting on the Thursday prior to the rodeo which will be on August 31 at 6pm in the curling building at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds. At this time everyone will decide what volunteer jobs they would like to do. We ask that all volunteers are at least 18 years of age. You can just show up at the volunteer meeting or call the Rodeo at (218)252-8557 if you're interested in volunteering to work at the Rodeo.  All volunteers are given a free T-shirt when they show up for work.

The volunteer meeting will be held Thursday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m. at the Curling Club at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds.

2023-2024 RODEO ANNOUNCER - Jesse Knudsen

Welcome back to our Rodeo Announcer Jesse Knudsen! Jesse was born and raised in "Rodeo City" of Manawa, WI. The 47-year-old has traveled from Wisconsin to Florida, Massachusetts to Utah and everywhere in between. Knudsen has called the action at rodeos and Bullridings since 2005 and works about 30 events each year. In all told the former PRCA bullrider and PRCA bullfighter has had his talents displayed in 38 states. In the winter of 2019, Jesse’s talents took him across the world to the middle east in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he was chosen to be the announcer for the King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival Bullriding. There he performed for the United States Embassy and the Prince of Saudi Arabia during his stay.

The Wisconsin announcer has been selected to announce the Kansas Professional Rodeo Association Finals, Minnesota Rodeo Association Finals (3X), Southwestern Professional Bullriders Finals, Professional Championship Bullriders Finals(2X), Central Bullriders Association Finals(5X), and the Premier Bulls Tour Finals(5X). In November of 2021 Jesse was selected to be the Music Director at the National Finals Steer Roping in Mulvane, KS. Knudsen currently serves on the PRCA Executive Council as the Announcer Director, a position that was voted on by his peers.

When Knudsen is not on the road, he enjoys spending time with his daughter Brenley Mae and following the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

We encourage you to follow him on social media at 920rodeo
